By combining modern design and the latest developments in window-making techniques, the windows on the building at Žnjan have superior PVC profiles or remarkable properties: they offer thermal and sound insulation, they are water-proof, self-extinguishing and offer a high level of protection against burglaries. In addition to the above, the profiles meet all requirements in accordance with the provision of the EU regulation on energy-saving, and conform to the guidelines on sound insulation up to class 5.
Due to the width of 76 mm and 6-chamber PVC profiles, these windows offer superior thermal insulation compliant with the latest regulations regarding energy. Extremely thick, thermally and sound insulated glass serves as additional insulation, and the 25 mm-high glass channel prevents moisture condensation. The high quality EPDM sealing rubber which is remarkably resistant to atmospheric influences secures against wind and strong rain, and the rounded shape and slanted edges ensure good drainage while contributing to the overall appearance of the windows. Top-quality sound and water proofing is further ensured by the three gaskets in the window frame. The installation holes are located in the frame chamber, while all drainage and ventilation holes are situated in the front, which prevents damp and corrosion in steel chambers.
The windows made of such PVC profiles are extremely safe. According to civil engineering standards, they possess self-extinguishing properties and do not incite burning or spreading of fire. The profiles can be further equipped with special reinforcements and safety glass – 13 mm Euro-channel and two-legged lath for glazing – which ensure a high level of protection against burglary.
To achieve a high level of functionality and endurance, the reinforcements are fixed through two chamber walls. Strong and visually appealing frames ensure a stable window structure, and the profile structure enables all opening combinations: tilt and slide, tilt and turn or folding glass walls.
